The 2023 Cam Ricard Souhegan Valley Invitational will take place between July 11 - July 17, 2023! (Dates Subject to Change)
The Hollis/Brookline community was impacted by a great loss in December of 2014 as 17-year old Cam Ricard died tragically in a single car accident caused by black ice. His father Bob Ricard was the driving force behind creating the SVI tournament to give local All-Star teams a chance to play additional summer baseball after District/State tournaments completed. To help carry on Cam’s spirit, love of being an athlete, and the ideals provided by team sports, HB Cal Ripken renamed the tournament Cam’s name. A portion of registration fees received through the annual tournament are donated to local Hollis-Brookline scholarship funds.
As always, HB Cal Ripken will attempt to accommodate scheduling conflicts with those participating in District or State play. However, HB Cal Ripken reserves the right to adjust the schedule and brackets based on weather, field availability, number of registered teams, and external conflicts.

9U will have 2 pools of 5 teams. Each pool will have a pool champion (3) and the next highest seeded team from each of the 2 pools will also advance to the playoffs. Pool champions and next highest seeded team to be determined by SVI pool play scoring and tiebreakers. Coin flip for Finals Home-Visitor selection.
10U will have 3 pools of 4 teams. Each pool will have a pool champion (3) and between the pools there will be a total of one (1) wild card winner who will also advance to the playoffs. Pool champions and wild card winner to be determined by SVI pool play scoring and tiebreakers. Coin flip for Finals Home-Visitor selection.
Remember : 8 teams out of 48 will go home with a trophy or medal, 40 teams will not. Your team will likely experience missed calls, bad hops, bonehead plays, and grumpy parents. Despite this, you and your staff will continue to shape these kids into great young men/women. Be a superb example for them.
